Anthony Kim is the ruthless CEO of Empire Productions, a drama production company. His only goal in life is to be the best at what he does. On his path to the top, he made numerous enemies, among them, Yi Go Eun, a young writer whose reputation has been torn apart by Anthony Kim’s lies. On first occasion, he is taken down by his own assistant Oh Jin Wan. Three years later, Anthony Kim is still trying to get back on track with his new company World Productions. Despite the past, to achieve his dream he asks for the help of Go Eun.
This drama is very good. It nicely depicts how dramas are made and how many people are involved in its process from its writing to its broadcasting. The cast is very good. Good story as well. I’m surprised how Choi Shi Weon is good at playing this annoying and senseless actor/model. And that laugh! He’s good. This drama is not a comedy as per say but there are a lot of funny moments between Bong Dal and Go Eun and the story between Hyeon Min and Min Ah is also hilarious at times. We also meet Kim Myeong Min who made a great performance in his starring role in White Tower. He’s an excellent actor. I like Jeong Ryeo Weon a lot. I’ve seen her for the first time in the movie 통증/Pained. Check it out if you haven’t seen it! Anthony Kim, I believe, is the most unlucky producer as anything that can possibly go wrong for a producer happens to him. His character is quite complex and, over the episodes, becomes attaching. That’s a very good drama. I recommend!
