I watched this movie as part of the Montreal Korean Film Festival. The subtitles were missing. One third of the audience left but I decided to stay and challenge my Korean. I’m glad I understood at least 80% of the movie. What I didn’t completely, I got an idea of what they were talking about so I enjoyed the movie. The movie switches between past and present. This grandmother is recalled the time when she discovered this wolf boy. The meeting and “training” of this boy is really funny. The special effects are scare but nicely done. Nice costumes from the 60s. Great performance from Song Jung Gi and Pak Bo Yeong. I would define this movie as a contemporary tale adaptation of the Beauty and the Beast. Yu Yeon Seok is a nice jerk. hehe. It’s a nice and clean production.
