Tae Gong Shil has the peculiar ability to see ghosts since she woke up from coma a few years earlier. Because they keep asking for favors and prevent her from sleeping, she can’t function normally in the society. Since then, she lives hidden in a small rooftop apartment. She accidentally meets Ju Jun Weon, a cold but successful business man obsessed by money. She sticks to him as he has the ability to make her ghosts disappear.
I hesitated watching this when I saw it was branded ‘Hong Sisters’ because, last time (Big), they messed up the scenario. This is the second series with ghosts this summer. For the ghost part, I preferred the treatment in Who are you, Less caricatural if I can say so, although I’m not sure it it’s the right term. Here, I didn’t like the ghost make up for several of them and for some obscure reason they were blue. Overall all, good acting and chemistry between the two leads. I also appreciated the performance by Kim Yu Ri. She was pretty funny. Note the presence of Hwang Seon Hee who also appeared in Sign with a similar role. Kong Hyo Jin‘s T-shirts are a little too obvious especially the ‘loser’ one in episode 10. Not necessary. One thing I don’t especially like with the Hong Sisters is that sometimes they get lost in their dialogs. Characters just repeat themselves. That’s a bit annoying at times. Another bad point: the main love theme was annoying too. This said, overall, I had a good time.
