After losing a battle with a rival gang, Jae Gyu and his men find a perfect hiding in the mountains, a Buddhist monastery. They want to stay there for a while but the monks, lead by Cheong Myeong, fiercely oppose, leading to a series of games to determine who will have the final word.
I watched this movie this weekend and it was quite nice. I had a good time. The cast is very good with a lot of familiar faces but I’m sorry to say, besides Pak Shin Yang (Painter Of The Wind, Sign), Jeong Jin Yeong (The King And The Clown, Dong Yi), Yi Mun Shik (Iljimae, Queen Seon Deok, Battlefield Heroes) and Kim Su Ro (Gentleman’s Dignity, Attack The Gas Station), I don’t know their names. Of course, the antagonism between monks and gangsters brings up a lot of funny situations. I liked the ending. Apparently, there is a sequel to this movie. I wonder if it’s as good.
