Five years later, the great son of a Japanese bureaucrat brings back to Korea the knife of the last Korean Royal Chef. He wants to find his true successor through a national cooking contest. Seong Chan who decided to quit cooking contests 5 years earlier decides to enroll in the competition to prove to Bong Ju and himself that he is the best.
I always have this thing for cooking/food movies or dramas. The plot is just an easy excuse to present succulent and delicious Korean food. If your looking for something else, well you’re wasting your time. In food movies, the star is the food and here I must say it’s very much to my liking. I just wanna eat my screen and don’t care much about the rest. It’s a pleasure for the eyes and a full load of imaginary delectation. Of course, since the plot is easy, it cannot really pass the 4 stars but it’s definitely worth a watch.
